Atty. Athina Maricar M. Cabase

Atty. Athina Maricar M. Cabase is the Legal Manager and Business Development Head of Starlight Business Consulting Services Inc., where she oversees the company's legal affairs across a broad range of practice areas, including corporate law, intellectual property matters before the Intellectual Property Office (IPO), litigation, labor and employment, and matters before the Bureau of Customs (BOC). She brings a solid foundation in legal research, contract drafting and review, and court and administrative representation, having built her practice through progressive roles in litigation and corporate legal work.

Prior to joining Starlight Business Consulting Services Inc., Atty. Cabase served as Junior Associate at Palarca and Baluyut Law Office, where she drafted and reviewed pleadings, contracts, and agreements while regularly appearing in court. She also served as Legal Counsel at Alamano Management and Consultancy, Inc. in Makati City, where she handled the drafting and review of legal documents and contracts, and provided sound legal solutions to complex client concerns. Earlier in her career, she was a Paralegal and Associate Lawyer at Gomera Law Office in Mandaue City, where she likewise drafted pleadings and contracts and handled court appearances. She also gained valuable public interest experience as a Legal Intern at the Humanitarian Legal Assistance Foundation, Inc., providing case consultation and follow-up support to the Cebu City Female Dormitory, and as a Legal Aide under the University of San Carlos Clinical Legal Education Program, where she interviewed and advised clients from marginalized sectors.

Atty. Cabase is a member of the Philippine Bar, having passed the 2023 Bar Examination. She obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of San Carlos and holds a Bachelor of Science in Clothing Technology, Cum Laude and Rank 1, from the University of the Philippines Diliman. These varied academic and professional experiences have equipped her with a well-rounded and meticulous approach to legal practice, which she continues to bring to her work in corporate, intellectual property, litigation, labor, and regulatory matters at Starlight Business Consulting Services Inc.
